Restaurant website in Fuengirola and the Costa del Sol

3 September 2026 · Love & Siesta

A restaurant in Fuengirola, Mijas or Benalmádena lives on two things: the people walking past and the people searching "where to eat" on their phones before going out. For the first you already have the terrace and the chalkboard. For the second you need a restaurant website that answers three questions in seconds, in English and Spanish: what's on the menu, how much it costs and how do I book.

We are Love & Siesta, a web design studio in Fuengirola. We work with businesses across the Costa del Sol and this is what, in our experience, separates a website that fills tables from one that just occupies a domain.

Your customers search on their phones, and many of them in English

On the Costa del Sol a huge share of tables is filled by foreign residents and tourists. They search on their phones, often while walking, and decide in under a minute. If your menu is a PDF that takes ages to open, if the phone number can't be tapped to call, or if the site is only in Spanish, part of those customers walk into the place next door. Not because of the food: because of the website.

The six things a restaurant website must have

  • A menu that reads well on mobile. Dishes, prices and allergens as real text, not a photo or a heavy PDF. Google reads it, the customer zooms in and you update it in minutes.
  • Booking or WhatsApp in one tap. A fixed button to book, call or message. If you use a booking system, we integrate it; if you prefer WhatsApp, we link it directly.
  • Opening hours, address and map always visible. With seasonal hours if you close on certain days or change shifts. It is the second most consulted thing after the menu.
  • Real photos of the place and the dishes. A good photo of your espeto sells more than any text. No stock images: it shows, and in hospitality it costs you trust.
  • At least two languages. Spanish and English, with properly translated copy, not an automatic button. It is the cheapest way to double your audience in Fuengirola or Marbella.
  • Speed. A light website loads fine on beach coverage. It is the difference between seeing the menu and closing the tab.

Do I need a website, or is Instagram and Google Maps enough?

Both, and each in its place. Instagram shows the atmosphere; your Google Business Profile puts you on the map when someone searches "restaurant near me". But neither of them is yours: the rules change, the algorithm changes and your visibility changes with them.

The website is the only piece you control completely. It is what your Google profile links to, what your social accounts point to and where the customer confirms you exist, you are open and it is worth booking. When website and Google profile back each other up, Google understands better who you are and where you are, and shows you to more people in your area.

What about hosting, domain and maintenance?

It is the most repeated question and it has two answers, depending on how you want to work:

  • A website you own. With our professional web design the website is yours from day one. Hosting and domain are in your name and we help you set them up if you don't have them. Afterwards, if you want to forget about it, web maintenance starts at €100/month.
  • Website subscription. With the website subscription the server, domain, SSL certificate, backups and updates are included in one fee: €100 set-up and €149/month, no minimum term. For a seasonal business that does not want a large upfront investment, it is usually the most comfortable option.
If someone sells you "hosting" without telling you who updates the menu, who runs the backups and who you call when the website fails in mid-August, they are selling you only part of it.

How much a restaurant website costs on the Costa del Sol

The same prices we give in a meeting, no small print:

  • Landing page: from €500. A single page with menu, bookings, map and opening hours, in two languages, delivered in 5 days. Enough for many bars, cafés and chiringuitos. More in landing pages.
  • Professional website: from €1,250. Several sections (menu, the space, events, bookings, contact), polished copy, basic local SEO and delivery in 7 working days. That is our professional web design.
  • Website subscription: €100 set-up + €149/month. Everything included, no minimum term.
  • Local SEO: from €300/month. To appear on Google and Google Maps when people search for your type of cuisine in your area, with your Google Business Profile managed. More in SEO.

How to show up when someone searches "where to eat in Fuengirola"

With a well-built website you have the base. For Google to show you in local searches you also need to work on three fronts:

  • A complete Google Business Profile. Correct category (restaurant, chiringuito, café…), real opening hours, your own photos, the menu linked and the link to your website. Reply to reviews, including the average ones.
  • Consistent data. The same name, address and phone number on your website, on Google, on TripAdvisor, on TheFork and on social media. Every difference costs you trust with Google.
  • Local content on the website. A page for whatever makes you different: cuisine, terrace, events, daily menu. With the name of your area written naturally, not repeated twenty times.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an online store to take orders?

Only if you regularly deliver or offer collection. For most restaurants a menu, bookings and WhatsApp are enough. If delivery is part of the business, an online store with Stripe, PayPal or Bizum payments does pay off.

Can I update the menu and prices myself?

Yes. We deliver the website with training so you can change dishes, prices and opening hours without depending on anyone. If you prefer us to do it, it is part of maintenance.

How long does it take?

A landing page, 5 days. A professional website, 7 working days from the moment we have your copy and photos. What usually delays a project most is the photos of the dishes: gather them beforehand and you will save time.

The short answer

A restaurant website on the Costa del Sol has to show the menu, let people book in one tap and speak at least two languages. It costs from €500 for a landing page and from €1,250 for a full website, or €149/month all-inclusive. The rest is putting it to work with Google.
